To be able to obtain the best possible conditions for this year’s demo garden we are draining the area – as far as the eye reaches !
For the 6th time we are planning the Maansson demogarden, as we call it…
This “garden” (which actually has grown and now seizes 2 organic fields) – we test a lot of new species each year.
We test both the cultivation ability – can we grow this crop organically, on sandy soil, in the cool Midjutland, with the machinery that we are commonly using?
But we also test the merchantability – do the consumers like the crops, do the purchasers?, can the products be sold in the Maansson farm shop?, on vegetable markets?, in the retail stores?, isit meant for the gastro segment?, for the meal boxsolutions?, etc.
The garden is alos very much used for our guided tours – which in this way has an element of innovative garden walks – for photo sessions, tastings, etc.
